Flute Education

Lindsay received her music certificate from Keyano College in 1997, then went on to complete a 4-year Bachelor of Music Degree program at the University of Alberta in 2001. Her area of specialization was in Flute Performance, and during that time, Lindsay was a flutist in the University of Alberta's Symphonic Wind Ensemble & Symphony Orchestra as well as the Edmonton Youth Orchestra. Her peformance education and experience also extends to chamber groups & many solo performances with piano accompanimement. Lindsay sucessfully completed the manditory Junior & Senior Recitals during her degree program. For fun, she partook in a Classical Indian Music Ensemble(where she tried out Bansuri Flute & Tablas) & a West African Music Ensemble, both through the University of Alberta. Phew! It was a pretty intense schedule, to say the least.

Flute & Music Theory Teacher (Lindsay)

1997-2003: Edmonton, Alberta, Canada: Had many private students during these years, namely two promising ones during 2002-2003. One was 10-year old who already had ambitions of becoming a music teacher! The other was a teenager who went on to join the Junior Edmonton Youth Orchestra (EYO) and then started a Bachelor of Music Degree in Flute Performance at the University of Alberta with Shelley Younge. (Just like me!)
